Each event follows the same high-energy format - teams of 3-5 drivers take on a 200-lap race, working together through driver changes, pit stops, and race tactics over approximately 2.5 hours of action. It’s not just about speed - consistency, communication, and smart racing make all the difference. You’ll be going up against other businesses within your industry, making it the perfect opportunity to build team culture, connect with others, and claim some serious bragging rights. There had been a lot of BIG TALK back and forwards in the staffroom and on the RT about who was going to be Champion for the day. It was no surprise when a couple of the staff members initially emerged as the ones to beat. Issie was at the top of the leader board going into the final with the best place on the grid, and all through the laps he looked like he had it in the bag… until (Murphy’s law) the last lap it went all wrong (he says he was pushed)… Mike’s Partner, Charmaine breezed past, followed by Ben, then the boss himself. We are very pleased to say that Issie went on to enjoy Scotty’s Gourmet BBQ at Plan B (which was superb, with a relaxing atmosphere and great cocktail menu - cheers Steve) with only a few quiet conversations about how the racing will be different next year! (NZGP event) RADCLIFFE ELECTRICAL We have been to Pro Karts a number of times over the last months, to organised events and also to have some fun just doing laps with mates. All the organised events from the Grand Prix sprint races to the Bathurst endurance events are all very well run. Everyone comes away with a smile and can’t wait for the next track session. We have found it a great way to earn a few brownie points with customers and staff alike, just bloody great fun. Go-karts have rear brakes only, which means if you brake while turning, the kart can easily spin out. Always slow down before the turn while your wheels are straight to maintain control. Brake early, accelerate early – “In slow, out fast.” Approach corners with gentle braking and smooth acceleration. Entering a corner too fast will cause you to slide or drift, which will slow you down significantly. Remember: drifting may look cool, but it’s not the fastest way around the track. Correct a slide with control. If your kart begins to slide, ease off the throttle, apply opposite lock (turn the wheel in the direction of the slide), and regain control before entering the next corner. Smooth driving and precise steering are key to consistent lap times. Use the full width of the track. To carry the most speed through a corner, follow the racing line: enter wide, clip the inside apex, and exit wide. Creating a larger radius allows for smoother and faster cornering. If our staff appear strict, it is because we are focused on keeping you safe and preventing injuries. We constantly review and improve our safety policies so you can enjoy your visit with confidence. Safety Video Rules and Guidelines All customers must obey the rules and instructions shown in our safety video. Watching the safety video is compulsory before any ride. Our team may decline or end your session if these rules are not followed. These rules are in place for your protection and must be followed at all times. Track Safety Monitoring We have a full CTV track safety system installed around our circuit, giving us additional eyes on every corner and every driver. Our staff actively monitor these cameras to improve safety, respond quickly to incidents, and ensure that all rules are being followed. This system helps us spot risks that customers may not notice while driving and strengthens our commitment to keeping everyone safe. Age and Height Requirements • Pro Karts are for drivers 12 years and older • Fun Karts are for riders 7 years and older • Two Seater Karts require a driver 18 years and older • Two Seater passengers must be 3 years and older • Minimum height for Pro Karts is 150 centimetres • Minimum height for Fun Karts is 130 centimetres • Staff make the final decision on suitability and safety General Conditions • All participants must follow staff instructions at all times • All riders must be signed in and registered before entering the track • Long hair must be tied back • Remove loose items and secure clothing • Covered footwear is required • Helmets must be worn correctly at all times • No smoking or vaping in activity areas • No alcohol or any form of impairment.
