Giving Back to Our Community

 

At Pro Karts and Nelson Fun Park, giving back is a core part of who we are. Our business has always been about people, memories, and supporting the community that supports us.

 

Since day one, we have believed that the best way to make a difference is by opening our doors and sharing our activities with those who need them most.

​

We proudly offer discounted visits to all local schools and work closely with a wide range of charities and community groups, including the Lions Foundation, the Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Tahuna Community Hub, and many others. Every year we donate a large number of vouchers to help families who are struggling, especially around Christmas.

​

We also provide many smaller donations throughout the year. From raffle prizes for fundraisers to support for school events, sports teams, individuals facing sickness or hardship, and a variety of community causes, we always aim to help wherever we can.

​

We are also proud of our ongoing partnerships in the community. We support Waimea College through their attendance recognition programme, offering rewards and encouragement for students with high attendance records.

 

This year, we are going a step further by opening the Fun Park for a few hours on Christmas Day exclusively for selected families in need. Our goal is to create positive memories for children and parents who deserve a special moment during a challenging time.

We give back in the strongest way we can. Many businesses give money, which only goes so far. We prefer to give in kind by offering experiences, vouchers, activities, and entire days for free. Recently we hosted Big Brother Big Sister for what was planned to be a two hour visit, but the group enjoyed themselves so much they stayed for three or four hours. That is the type of impact we aim for.
